Unfortunately, a Default on claims for fraud and negligent misrepresentation was entered against Mr. Menke while he was pro se in the case. After Shane was retained, the Court required the parties to set a trial to establish damages. At trial, the Plaintiff sought to recover over $995,000. Shane successfully argued that Mr. Menke was not the cause of any of the alleged damages suffered by Plaintiff. After only an hour of deliberations, the jury returned a defense verdict finding Mr. Menke did not cause any of the Plaintiff’s damages. Mr. Menke also recovered $35,000 of his fees and costs from the Plaintiff.
